At a New York City confab of leaders in the legal world last week, the general counsel at Qwest Communications, bucking the trend of the moment, said that alternative billing arrangements have been a “train wreck” for his company.
During a panel discussion titled “Evolution or Revolution: The Future of the Law Firm Business Model,” Qwest General Counsel Richard Baer said, “Alternative fee arrangements have been a colossal train wreck for us.”
