The commission charged with evaluating the state’s juvenile justice system and judicial disciplinary procedures has accused the Judicial Conduct Board of refusing to cooperate with its attempts to fulfill its statutory mandates.
In a sharply worded 14-page filing with the state Supreme Court, the Interbranch Commission on Juvenile Justice questioned the JCB’s decision to “selectively” waive confidentiality considerations for information related to the Luzerne County court scandal when dealing with federal investigators, but not doing so when the commission requested similar access.
