K&L Gates continued its international expansion Tuesday by announcing it had opened offices in Tokyo and Moscow. The news comes on the heels of a number of lateral acquisitions in the new year as well as reports the firm reached more than $1 billion in gross revenue in 2009.

The new offices give K&L Gates a presence in two of the world’s largest economies, Japan and Russia, which the firm said are strategically important to its clients.
