Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board Chief Judge Mike L. Krancer, a Republican candidate for state Supreme Court in this year’s elections, may have gotten a pass from the Commonwealth Court over alleged financial disclosure deficiencies, but the state Ethics Commission isn’t being so kind.

In an amicus brief filed with the state’s justices in conjunction with Krancer’s challenger’s appeal of Commonwealth Court Senior Judge James R. Kelley’s ruling last week in favor of the Main Line Republican, the Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission — which administers the system by which Pennsylvania’s would-be public officials disclose personal financial information — suggested that Krancer should have reported income jointly held with his spouse.
