Along with many Pennsylvanians, I have watched with interest this year as the state House of Representatives and Senate have opened up and made easily accessible to the public more information than ever before about their finances and the legislative process.

As a citizen, I admire these changes. I believe it is important for government to keep its doors open so that people can walk in, take a look around and see what’s going on. Openness is what democracy is all about.
