BOOKS

The Pennsylvania Association for Justice, formerly the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, has released the 2008 edition of Cliff Rieders‘ encyclopedic work on medical malpractice. The textbook of case authorities and forms is the only work of its kind in Pennsylvania and one of the few in the entire country. Cliff Rieders’ textbook has been recognized as the standard work explaining the laws of medical malpractice. Those laws emanate from the courts, both federal and state, and the legislature. There has been much legislative activity and many court decisions defining the medical malpractice system and addressing the law concerning medical devices. Other important legal issues deal with regulation of hospitals and patient rights in general. All of that and more is covered by the extensive compendium prepared by sole author Cliff Rieders.
