In a one-line order, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court affirmed a Commonwealth Court ruling that told an appellate judge in no uncertain terms that she couldn’t give back the controversial pay raise that created ire for many judges and politicians in 2005.

Commonwealth Court Judge James Gardner Colins had some harsh words for Superior Court Judge Joan Orie Melvin in the 2007 case Melvin v. Casey.
