Peter A. von Mehren, a Spector Gadon & Rosen attorney in the firm’s litigation group, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 1. He was 55.

Born in Boston, he earned his bachelor’s degree in history, with honors, from Harvard College and his law degree from Harvard University with honors. He served as law clerk to Judge Benjamin Kaplan of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
