Q: In a custody dispute, I represent the mother who, in pleadings, has alleged that the father has abused their child. The father is represented by an attorney who is also a part-time assistant district attorney. The lawyer has suggested that my client could be arrested for false pleadings and perjury. Is my opponent acting ethically?
