Networking skills are important for attorneys seeking to gain new clients or better serve their existing ones, but it’s often difficult for them to get out of the office and make important connections. A new Philadelphia Bar Association program aims to address this need by hosting events that educate and connect attorneys to different organizations.

Scott Cooper, chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, proposed the Philadelphia Bar Association Academy during his inaugural address. The academy’s goal is to educate attorneys to become better-rounded people, which in turn increases networking skills, according to Cooper.
