An ugly dispute between two women lawyers in the Philadelphia city solicitor’s office is now being aired in a federal lawsuit in which one, the plaintiff, claims that her husband was having an affair with the other woman, who was her supervisor, and that the conflict ultimately resulted in the plaintiff’s firing.
Now a federal judge has tossed out some of the woman’s claims, but ruled that she must be allowed to proceed on others, including a claim that her firing was in retaliation for her having sued the other woman for defamation, and a claim that the firing was racially motivated.
