Meier v. Stegmeier, PICS Case No. 10-1800 (C.P. Lehigh March 31, 2010) Ford, J. (19 pages).

In this custody case, plaintiff-father’s motives for his move to Wisconsin were understandable and acceptable; he had a chance for employment and a home near his family. While defendant-mother did not present convincing reasons to oppose father’s move to Wisconsin, her efforts at trial were focused on convincing the court why it would be preferable that she become the parent with primary physical custody in Tennessee. She accomplished that, and the court awarded her primary physical custody of the parties’ two sons, with meaningful partial custody rights granted to father.
