An East Whiteland Township supervisor could soon be moving from her seat on the board to a seat on the county bench despite a recent freeze on state judicial nominations.

On April 26, Gov. Edward G. Rendell nominated Malvern, Pa.-based attorney Virginia H. McMichael to replace former Chester County Common Pleas Judge Paula Francisco Ott, who was elected in November to the state Superior Court.
