Whenever I want to know which firms are getting more work from corporate clients and why, I turn to my friend Marcie Borgal Shunk, a principal of the highly respected BTI Consulting Group. Each year, Shunk’s revered team of researchers interviews 250 general counsel and associate general counsel of Fortune 1000 companies.

BTI’s findings as to who is getting corporate work and why are always eye-opening and instructive for any lawyer wishing to do more work for corporations. For me this year, the findings, shared by Shunk at a recent Delaware Valley Law Firm Marketing Group program are especially edifying because they do indeed provide a real road map for law firms today on how to succeed at getting these kinds of clients.
