The federal judge overseeing the General Motors bankruptcy has officially lifted stays by Pennsylvania trial and appellate courts for personal injury cases against two GM dealerships.
In a March 2 hearing on whether the two Pennsylvania cases could move forward, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert E. Gerber for the Southern District of New York said he was grateful the courts didn’t want to “step on his toes,” but said he was leaning toward saying “thanks guys for looking out for me, but it’s okay.”
