News for the first-year associate pool seems to have improved when it comes to start dates and the number of firms bringing on first-years, with one exception – the pool of first-year associates to enjoy that news is significantly smaller.

Of the 20 firms that responded to The Legal’s 2010 Pennsylvania New Associates Survey, only two will not have first-year associates in its Pennsylvania offices. But one of those firms, New Jersey-based Archer & Greiner, will have a class of new associates beginning in early October. They will just be outside of Pennsylvania.
