The Philadelphia Bar Association’s Advancing Civics Education program has received a $10,000 provisional grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, according to program chair Jenimae Almquist.
The volunteer-based program, known as ACE, partners with the School District of Philadelphia to provide students with an understanding of civics, legal systems and civic participation.
