The consecutive and longer sentence given to one of the three defendants who pled guilty to illegally harvesting and selling body parts from cadavers was not an abuse of the court’s discretion, the Superior Court said in upholding the 25- to 58-year prison term of Michael Mastromarino.

Though the court found Mastromarino’s appeal of his sentence raised a substantial question warranting a review on the merits, Judge Correale F. Stevens ultimately found the trial judge’s sentence was appropriate.
