Following is a listing of executive and legislative action for the week of Sept. 13. House and Senate members are scheduled to return to session Sept. 20.
Consumer Workforce Council
By executive order, Gov. Edward G. Rendell created the Consumer Workforce Council composed of seniors and people with disabilities who employ their own attendants to serve as the policy voice to make recommendations to expand the consumer-directed model of home care, especially regarding the number of available, qualified and reliable home care attendants, according to the order. The council will also guarantee the rights of employees to elect a union representative should they so choose.
