After the state Senate voted this week to confirm the nominations of two common pleas judges and four magisterial district judges despite a moratorium on filling judicial vacancies, Pennsylvania Chief Justice Ronald D. Castille said that he was disappointed. Filling the vacancies did not show respect for the judicial branch, he said.
“I haven’t felt respected all along,” Castille said Thursday.
