I recently received a cold call from a potential Asian client because my name came up when she searched for an Asian attorney. Even though I had no expertise in the field of law she needed help in, she reached out to me because I had an Asian name.
Being a minority has an advantage when you are marketing yourself to that ethnic group. As a minority attorney considering building a book of business, one of the initial questions you need to ask yourself is whether you want to market yourself using your ethnicity.
