Even though state Treasurer Rob McCord signed off on $350 million less than Gov. Edward G. Rendell requested for construction projects across the state, the $200 million Philadelphia family courthouse project is not in jeopardy, government officials said Thursday.

Susan Hooper, communications director for the state Office of the Budget, said that the size of the bond offering will not affect funding for the family courthouse for which the state Department of General Services is currently soliciting bids for the general contract, HVAC, plumbing and electrical construction work. DGS has set an aggressive timetable on the project with the aim of signing construction contracts by Jan. 7.
