As the state’s major political party committees prepare to vote on which candidates they’ll endorse for statewide judicial office this year, the list of names being circulated is noticeably lacking women.
This year, with one vacant seat each on the Commonwealth and Superior courts, it appears that only four women — two each from the Democratic and Republican parties — have expressed an interest in running for those spots. Some nine men — three Democrats and six Republicans — have expressed an interest in those same seats.
