When The Legal reached out to colleagues of Linda L. Kelly’s to ask their impressions of the newest nominee as state attorney general, the unanimous response was that she’s well-known for hard work, professionalism and, perhaps most importantly, her distance from the political arena.
Gov. Tom Corbett nominated Kelly, a prosecutor for more than 30 years who was his top assistant in the early 1990s and who currently serves as senior litigation counsel as assistant U.S. attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania, as his successor to serve out the remaining two years of his term on Feb. 8.
