The Philadelphia Diversity Law Group placed a record number of 1L minority law students through its summer associate program this year.

After seeing a dip in 2009 due to firms retracting or eliminating their summer associate programs, the PDLG has grown its placement numbers ever since. The program placed 28 students in 2009, 29 in 2010 and 34 in 2011. This year’s numbers do not include the nine 1Ls who were placed in the Montgomery Bar Association’s diversity program.
