The state Supreme Court has ordered the recusal of a Philadelphia judge after she ordered a court reporter to alter the transcript of a defendant’s Post Conviction Relief Act hearing.

The court said in its per curiam order Thursday that a new judge should be appointed to hear defendant Daniel Dougherty’s claims that he is innocent.
