WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia police have officially classified a 12-year-old cold case death as a homicide.
INS lawyer Joyce Chiang disappeared in January 1999 and her body was found on the banks of the Potomac River months later. Police initially said Chiang’s death was a suicide. But at a news conference Friday, D.C. police Chief Cathy Lanier called Chiang’s death a homicide.
