Despite medical malpractice filings continuing their decline in Pennsylvania, an increasingly litigious society has contributed to a rise in lawsuits against practitioners in other professions, including accountants, attorneys and nursing home providers, according to defense lawyers across the state.
Add to that a progressively more service-based economy limping out of a historic recession and business is good for insurance defense attorneys — even if it’s bad for many of their peers.
