More than ever, we’re betting Greenberg Traurig rues the day it agreed to represent former client Mortgages Ltd.

Last year, investors in the bankrupt Arizona mortgage lender sued the firm, along with auditors and Quarles & Brady, accusing the firms of facilitating a $200 million fraud at the company. On Thursday, Phoenix federal district court Judge Frederick Martone dismissed the claims against Quarles & Brady and the auditors, but he denied significant chunks of Greenberg’s motion to dismiss.
