Well, that’s it. All the speeches have been made, the diplomas have all been handed out, the pictures have all been taken, the parties have all been thrown, and not one law school asked me to speak to its graduates.

There are a half-dozen law schools within 100 miles of Philadelphia. I have to believe at least one had some last-minute cancellation where I could have pinch hit. But no one called. So, rather than let my speech go to waste, I offer to all distinguished faculty, proud parents and honored graduates the law school commencement speech no one asked me to give.
