A group of institutional investors last week amended a derivative suit it filed in the Delaware Court of Chancery in March against Rupert Murdoch and other directors of the media conglomerate News Corp. to now include allegations based on the revelations in the News of the World phone hacking scandal.

The new complaint, which totals 94 pages, recounts allegations that News of the World , a British tabloid, unlawfully intercepted voicemails and cell phone messages from citizens in the United Kingdom, including members of the royal family, celebrities, politicians and even a 13-year-old murder victim, according to court documents.
