Marc E. Gold and Michael M. Meloy , partners with the environmental and energy law firm of Manko Gold Katcher & Fox , spoke recently at Shale Gas Insights 2011 presented by the Marcellus Shale Coalition . The conference was held Sept. 7 and 8 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
Gold moderated a panel on “Interstate River Basin Commissions: An Overview,” which discussed the roles and responsibilities of the three Interstate River Basin Commissions that each cover portions of the Marcellus Shale play. Meloy moderated a panel titled “Best Management Practices: Drilling and Completions,” which focused on best practices developed by the Technical Committee of the Marcellus Shale Coalition addressing in detail steps associated with drillings and stimulating natural gas wells.
