An evenly split state Supreme Court — 3-3 — has affirmed a unanimous en banc panel of the state Superior Court, ruling that service bulletins from aircraft manufacturers may not trigger an exception to the 18-year statute of repose found in the federal General Aviation Revitalization Act.

The decision, which came without an opinion, follows oral arguments in Philadelphia last month.
