With judicial elections in less than a month, the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Commission has rated the four candidates running for vacant seats on the state Superior and Commonwealth courts.
Allegheny County Common Pleas Court Judge David N. Wecht, a Democrat who is seeking a seat on Superior Court and the only candidate among the four with judicial experience, received the commission’s “highly recommended” rating. Wecht’s Republican opponent, Victor Stabile, a civil litigator from Cumberland County, was given a “recommended” rating.
