The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled a school district does not have to fund a cyber charter school kindergarten program for a 4-year-old when the district itself doesn’t offer kindergarten to kids that age.

The unanimous decision was a reversal of the Commonwealth Court’s 2009 ruling forcing the Slippery Rock Area School District to fund the kindergarten program provided by Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School to students as young as 4.
