Dechert announced Tuesday that it has opened an office in Frankfurt, Germany, with an emphasis on financial services. It’s the firm’s second German location, having opened a Munich office in 2004, but it’s not the first time it’s had an office in Frankfurt.
The firm first opened in the city in 2002, but soon after the 2004 departure of Gerhard Kaiser, the partner it had brought aboard to lead the Frankfurt office, the location was shuttered. Partner Achim Putz, who joined the firm in Munich in 2010, has been tapped as managing partner of the Frankfurt office.
