Several important workers’ compensation decisions, a heated legal dispute over a casino license and a Philadelphia medical malpractice defense verdict with an 11th-hour substitution of the principal juror are among the cases that will be heard by the state Supreme Court this week when the justices hear oral arguments Tuesday and Wednesday in a two-day Philadelphia session.
While trial attorneys await guidance from an appellate panel about the admissibility of social media discovery in civil lawsuits, one case on the justices’ docket will test the evidentiary bounds of social media in a criminal context.
