I am an attorney and I had a proceeding with the Pennsylvania Lawyers Fund for Client Security. Has there been any challenge to the procedures utilized by that board?

The Pennsylvania Lawyers Fund for Client Security has the very noble purpose of reimbursing clients when attorneys have converted clients’ funds. The monies that fund this system come from a portion of the annual fee every attorney in Pennsylvania pays for the privilege of continuing to practice law. This has been a very useful fund and has helped people who have lost monies because of misconduct by lawyers. The office helps to maintain the public’s confidence in the legal profession.
