Invoking Pennsylvania’s Long-Arm Statute and borrowing from workers’ compensation precedent, the state Superior Court has ruled that a Pennsylvania man suing a third-party tortfeasor’s New Jersey-based employer may bring his personal injury lawsuit in Pennsylvania court.
The underlying auto accident occurred in Pennsylvania while the man’s employer, a pool construction and upkeep company, conducts business exclusively in New Jersey.
