Seven municipalities across Pennsylvania, along with the Delaware Riverkeeper Network, filed suit in Commonwealth Court last week seeking an injunction against recently passed amendments to the Oil and Gas Act that are set to go into effect on April 14, calling them unconstitutional.
Pennsylvania municipal, zoning and land use lawyers said Monday that the suit has the potential to spawn a legal battle that could easily find its way to the state Supreme Court.
