The winners of the state bar association’s two awards for women in law are both from Montgomery County, both previous winners of the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Margaret Richardson Award, and, most importantly, both devoted to mentoring young women in the profession.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession will present its Anne X. Alpern Award to Judge Susan Peikes Gantman of the Pennsylvania Superior Court and its Lynette Norton Award to Mary Cushing Doherty of High Swartz, Norristown, Pa., at the association’s annual conference in Lancaster, May 9th to 11th.
