The plaintiff has claimed monetary loss in a dispute. As a legal representative on either side, you have to advise whether or not the potential monetary loss claim should be put in through a damage expert. You weigh the additional cost of hiring a damage expert with the potential benefit that the expert provides. You consider that the other side may or may not hire a damage expert depending on what you do.
