A Pennsylvania Superior Court panel has ruled that a landlord does not have responsibility for a child’s injury from being bitten by a tenant’s dog because the landlord had no knowledge of any dangerous propensities the dog might have had.

In a 20-page opinion, Judge Mary Jane Bowes, joined by Judges Judith Ference Olson and William H. Platt, upheld a summary judgment from the Fayette County Common Pleas Court in favor of the landlord.
