The evidence presented by the commonwealth was insufficient to establish a nexus between the cash seized and a violation of the Controlled Substance Act; the burden never shifted to appellant to demonstrate that he acquired the cash in a legitimate way. Order of the common pleas court granting forfeiture reversed.
