I saw in one of the Disciplinary Board’s newsletters that more disciplinary action is taken against lawyers with 20 or more years at the bar than new lawyers. Why is that?

Any answer is going to be a guess. But beginning lawyers are usually in a firm-type setting and are supervised. As a result, their work is more closely monitored and that might be one reason. Also, complaints occur after a period of time. A new lawyer has to be practicing for a while before problems start to pop up in a practice.
