The receiver assigned to manage assets left in the wake of a Ponzi scheme may begin to implement her plan to repay defrauded investors, as a federal district judge has overruled the objections of some of those investors.

Joseph Forte pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in 2009 to wire, bank and mail fraud as well as money-laundering charges in connection with the Ponzi scheme, according to press reports at the time.
