The court denied defendant’s PCRA petition after concluding she voluntarily entered her guilty plea to theft and did so knowing her plea would result in revocation of her parole on more serious offenses.

Defendant Joanne Perri pled guilty to three counts of aggravated assault, two counts of robbery, theft and providing false identification to police. She served two years in prison and was paroled. Her parole was revoked in 2010 after she pled guilty to attempted theft by unlawful taking. She was sentenced to an aggregate three and one-half to seven years in prison. She later filed a PCRA petition, claiming that when she pled guilty to attempted theft, she was not informed her plea would count as a violation of her parole.
