Facing one of Hollywood’s most high-profile divorce cases in recent years, Tom Cruise has turned to lawyers from Blank Rome — a firm with one of the top matrimonial practices among The Am Law 100 — to help negotiate a quick end to his nearly six-year marriage to actress Katie Holmes.

Monday’s announcement that the couple had agreed to a settlement on their separation came a little less than two weeks after the Los Angeles Times broke the news that Holmes had initiated divorce proceedings against Cruise in New York state court.
