A former Pepsi employee had his employment-discrimination suit reinstated September 4, where his original lawyer had kept the suit’s dismissal — and his own disbarment — a secret.

The suit, Gandy v. Pepsi-Cola & National Brand Beverages Ltd., was dismissed without prejudice two years ago because Stephen Hiltebrand of Cherry Hill, N.J., had failed to serve Pepsi with the complaint. And in the year during which he could have revived it, Hiltebrand was disbarred.
