The 12 members of the jury who are scheduled to hear the capital case of the alleged North Philadelphia gang leader Kaboni Savage shall serve anonymously, but they won’t be fully sequestered, a federal judge ruled.
Given Savage’s history of attempts to intimidate members of an earlier jury, the citizens empaneled for his upcoming trial on racketeering and murder charges will be granted anonymity and heightened security, said U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
